My 6 week recheck was yesterday, on Halloween. She listed me as having intermittent improvement. The last couple of weeks have been stressful. My car was leaking lots of oil, and I was told repair would be $2-3k and replacing it would be nearer $8k. The car isn’t even worth that much. Then within the same week of learning all of this my radiator began leaking and required a full replacement. My mechanic added something when he changed the oil, hoping to help slow the leak. It seems to be working!
This was all so stressful, but things seem to be relaxing a bit. I’m babysitting my youngest niece until about 5:00 pm and pick up her older sister and my eldest son from kindergarten about 2:30 pm. Having 4 kids (my 2yo is with me all day) get to be a bit hectic, but overall I’m enjoying it. We still all have a bit of settling in to do to get used to the new after-school routines, but I know the kids enjoy getting to play with each other.
Learning new things
With this improvement in mental health, I’ve started on some ornaments for my Christmas tree. I finished the Harry Potter series last Friday. I’m debating starting a new book or series or simply working on my ornaments for a while. If I do read, should it be The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy or The Wheel of Time series? I can’t decide right now. I think I’ll make ornaments until I can make a decision.
And one day, just like that…
You’ll re-discover your light.
You’ll embrace your inner warrior.
You’ll snatch your power back.
And the whole game will change.
